Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to all bookings and enquiries made with Sangeeta’s Table (“we”, “us”, “our”) via sangeetas-table.com or otherwise. By making a booking or enquiry, you (“you”, “the customer”) agree to these Terms.

1. Our services

We offer Gujarati food experiences including Private Dining, Heritage Dining, Cookery Experiences, Bespoke Picnics, Corporate Events, and our At Home range. Details, pricing and availability for each experience are set out on our website and may be updated from time to time.

2. Bookings

  • Heritage Dining and Cookery Experiences are booked against specific published dates and times via our online booking system, subject to availability and any maximum guest numbers stated at the time of booking.
  • Private Dining, Bespoke Picnics and Corporate Events are bespoke and quote-based. These are arranged by enquiry, with final details, guest numbers and pricing confirmed directly with you before the event is confirmed.
  • A booking is only confirmed once you have received confirmation from us (by email or via our booking system) and, where applicable, any required payment has been received.
  • Minimum guest numbers may apply to certain experiences, as stated on the relevant page.

3. Pricing and payment

  • Prices shown on our website (e.g. “from £95pp” for Private Dining, “from £35pp” for Bespoke Picnics) are starting guide prices. Final pricing depends on guest numbers, menu choice, location and any additional services requested, and will be confirmed with you before your booking is finalised.
  • Where online payment is available, payments are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your card details.
  • For bespoke bookings arranged by enquiry, payment terms (including any deposit required to secure your date) will be agreed with you directly and confirmed in writing.
  • All prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable, unless stated otherwise.

4. Cancellations and changes

By you

If you need to cancel or change a booking, please contact us as soon as possible. For dated experiences (e.g. Heritage Dining), cancellations made close to the event date may not be refundable, as we will already have purchased ingredients and prepared for your attendance. For bespoke bookings, cancellation terms will be confirmed with you at the time of booking, reflecting the costs already committed on your behalf.

By us

Occasionally we may need to cancel or reschedule an experience, for example due to illness, insufficient bookings, or circumstances beyond our control. If this happens, we will contact you as soon as possible and offer an alternative date or a full refund of any amount paid.

5. Dietary requirements and allergens

Please read our separate Allergy & Dietary Policy carefully before booking. In summary: our cooking contains nuts and seeds, and for Heritage Dining, Cookery Experiences and Corporate Events (which are prepared for groups on a set menu basis), we are unfortunately unable to cater for individual dietary requirements or allergies. If you have specific dietary needs, our Private Dining service can usually be tailored to accommodate them, please get in touch to discuss before booking.

6. Your responsibilities

  • Please provide accurate information when booking, including accurate guest numbers and any access or venue details we need to deliver the experience.
  • For Private Dining and similar in-home services, please ensure we have safe and reasonable access to your kitchen and any equipment required, and that the environment is safe for our team to work in.
  • Please treat our team with courtesy and respect. We reserve the right to end an experience early, without refund, in cases of abusive or unsafe behaviour towards our staff.

7. Liability

We take great care in preparing and serving food safely. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for allergic reactions or adverse effects arising from dietary requirements or allergies that were not fully and accurately disclosed to us in advance, or for group experiences where, as explained above, individual dietary accommodation is not offered.
  • We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from a cancelled, delayed or changed booking, beyond a refund of amounts paid.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

8. Intellectual property

All content on our website, including recipes, photography, text and branding, is owned by or licensed to Sangeeta’s Table and may not be copied or reused without our permission.

9. Force majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in providing our services caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, illness, supply shortages, or other events preventing safe delivery of the experience.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Contact us

If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at hello@sangeetas-table.com.

This Cookie Policy explains how Sangeeta’s Table (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on sangeetas-table.com.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function properly, remember your preferences, and give us information about how the site is used.

2. Cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies

These are essential for the website and booking system to work and cannot be switched off. They include cookies set by WordPress (our website platform), our security tools, and our booking system (Amelia), which uses cookies to manage your booking session, shopping cart and checkout process.

Functional cookies

These remember choices you make (such as language or display preferences) to improve your experience, and are set by our website builder, Elementor.

Analytics cookies

If enabled, these help us understand how visitors use the site, for example, which pages are most popular, so we can improve it. This may include tools such as Google Analytics. We will ask for your consent before activating these where required.

Marketing cookies

If enabled in future, these may be used (for example, via Meta/Facebook Pixel) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. We will ask for your consent before activating these, and this policy will be updated accordingly.

As of the date above, analytics and marketing cookies are not active on this site. This policy will be updated if and when they are switched on, and you will be asked for consent via a cookie banner at that time.

3. Payment cookies

When you make a payment, Stripe (our payment processor) may set cookies to help detect fraud and process your transaction securely. These are set directly by Stripe and governed by Stripe’s own cookie and privacy policies.

4. Managing cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Most browsers let you refuse all cookies, accept only certain types, or delete cookies already stored on your device. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site, particularly the booking system, from working correctly.

Where we use non-essential cookies (analytics or marketing), we will provide a cookie consent banner allowing you to accept or decline them before they are set.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for legal reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page.

6. Contact us

If you have any questions about our use of cookies, please contact us at hello@sangeetas-table.com.

Allergy & Dietary Policy

At Sangeeta’s Table, food is cooked fresh, from scratch, in kitchens where nuts, seeds and other allergens are regularly used. We take food safety seriously and want you to be able to make an informed decision before booking.

1. Our cooking contains nuts and seeds

Nuts and seeds are used across our menus as part of authentic Gujarati cooking. Because our food is prepared in shared kitchen spaces (including customers’ own kitchens for Private Dining), we cannot guarantee that any dish is completely free from nuts, seeds, or traces of other allergens, even where a specific dish does not intentionally include them.

2. Group experiences: Heritage Dining, Cookery Experiences, Corporate Events

These experiences are prepared as a set menu for a group, cooked together in one setting. Because of this format, we are unfortunately unable to cater for individual dietary requirements or allergies at these events, and cannot guarantee an allergen-free dish or environment.

If you have a food allergy, intolerance, or specific dietary requirement, we recommend booking our Private Dining service instead (see below), or contacting us before booking to discuss whether a group experience is suitable for you.

By booking a place at Heritage Dining, a Cookery Experience, or a Corporate Event, you confirm that you understand and accept that individual dietary requirements cannot be accommodated for these formats.

3. Private Dining, Bespoke Picnics and At Home orders

For Private Dining, we cook a bespoke menu for you and your guests and can usually accommodate most dietary requirements and allergies, provided these are discussed and confirmed with us before the event so we can plan the menu safely. Please tell us about any allergies as early as possible, ideally at the time of enquiry.

For Bespoke Picnics and our At Home range, please let us know about any allergies or dietary needs at the time of your enquiry or order, and we will confirm whether and how we can accommodate them. Where we are unable to safely accommodate a specific requirement, we will tell you before you order.

4. The 14 recognised allergens

UK food law recognises 14 major allergens that must be identified when used as ingredients. These are:

  • Celery
  • Cereals containing gluten (e.g. wheat, barley, rye)
  • Crustaceans
  • Eggs
  • Fish
  • Lupin
  • Milk
  • Molluscs
  • Mustard
  • Tree nuts (e.g. almonds, cashews, pistachios)
  • Peanuts
  • Sesame seeds
  • Soybeans
  • Sulphur dioxide and sulphites

Where we can confirm ingredients for a bespoke booking, we will identify any of these 14 allergens present in a dish on request. For group experiences where individual accommodation isn’t offered, please assume that any or all of these allergens may be present.

5. Your responsibility

It’s important that you tell us about any allergy or dietary requirement clearly and as early as possible, ideally at the time of enquiry or booking, so we can advise whether and how we can accommodate it. We cannot take responsibility for reactions caused by allergies or requirements that were not disclosed to us in advance, or for group experiences where, as explained above, individual accommodation is not part of the format.

6. Questions

If you have any questions about allergens, ingredients, or whether a particular experience is suitable for you, please contact us at hello@sangeetas-table.com before booking, we’re always happy to talk it through.
